Sean Nicolson

Sean joined Northstar Ventures to support our expansion into managing EIS investment funds, for which he has overall responsibility and sits on the investment committee. He also provides general commercial support to the team, including the structuring of new funds, assisting with investment documents and general queries regarding IP, employment and fundraising.

Sean has over 30 years of corporate finance experience. He previously worked at a leading national law firm where he was a partner and head of technology with a focus on venture capital investments, capital market fundraising (advising companies and brokers) and corporate M&A.

He then joined AIM listed drug discovery company e-Therapeutics as executive director and COO. He has also been a director of a number of other listed investment companies including chairman of EVR Holdings (leading the reverse takeover of MelodyVR), senior independent director of investment company Asimilar Group and oversaw the listing as chairman of an investment trust. Latterly Sean was a co-founder and partner of a family office early stage VC technology fund.
