He works closely with charities and social enterprises from across the North East, identifying opportunities to invest in sustainable, impactful organisations. He also sits as an Observer on the Board of Trustees at Nunnykirk Centre, supporting children with Dyslexia and Specific Learning Difficulties.
Peter is an experienced impact investor, having spent several years working for both Entrust and Social Investment Business prior to joining our team. His roles involved delivering financial solutions to SMEs and charitable organisations. He began his career working in banking.
As one of the North East's most influential social investors, Peter currently sits on the Big Potential Breakthrough Investment panel, helping to assess applications to their £20m 'investment readiness' fund. In early 2017 he was also invited to sit on the Impact Management Programme Growth Strand panel - agreeing awards from a £15m fund aimed at supporting VCSEs develop their impact measurement.
Peter was also part of the Digital Arts and Culture Accelerator Advisory Group, which was set up in 2016 to advise on digital innovation in arts and culture projects.
Currently Peter is on the steering group and a founding member for InvestAge, an organisation looking to raise a £50m+ fund to support improving autonomy and wellbeing in later life.
